Soldaki tomatoes
3years ago I asked gardeners world online members advice on the best , tastiest heritage varieties of tomatoes in their opinion. It it started quite a thread with a lot of people coming up with their favourites.
italophile very kindly sent me some seeds of an old tomato called Soldaki.
i nurtured my seedlings the following Spring and had a few fruit which were delicious. Then a bad year followed. I thought I'd failed Italophile. This season has been better and I've been able to pass seeds on to family and friends who are as obsessive as I am on flavourful tomatoes.
so , if you are out there Italophile....thank you. They are much enjoyed by an increasing number of people thanks to you.
