Would someone please tell me how to grow onions. I have planted sets in greenhouse and outside but only have greenery, some roots have come on bulbs but they not not swell at all. I use lots of onions for making soup.

so should I lift them from greenhouse and plant outside. By the way its not only onion soup but the base for all soups of which I am very fond.
