POTATO SEEDS
I have just checked my Cara seeds in my Garage, stored in a small sack, and they have white stalks about 4 to 5 inches long on them. I do not want to plant out now , but in early June. Can I remove these stalks and store again ready to begin chitting later this month?

Why don't you plant them in pots of compost , then when you do plant them out they'll have a flying start. I think if you knock off the shoots, they may not shoot again.
If you wanted to hold these seed potatoes back until June they should have been in cold store rather than in the dark in the garage. Some experiments work, some don't.
Plant them now and certainly don't remove the shoots.
Thanks for the advice, I will plant this weekend, weather permitting.
