Tree/Shrub identification
Hello all,
I have a small tree/shrub growing in a tub in my garden that i cannot for the life of me seem to identify. It may be something quite boring (which is probably why i can't find it anywhere) but i like to find out what things are so i can see if its in the best place or to just read up on what it is. I have taken this picture of a leaf, hope this helps.

Many thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this.

...possibly a Cotoneaster... maybe Cotoneaster franchetii...
Thanks for the reply salino, the tree has never flowered or fruited. Could it still be a cotoneaster? It is a couple of years old I think.
...it looks a very young plant in the photo, I would be surprised if it flowered just yet....so we shouldn't worry about that... the flowers in any case are usually quite small and inconspicuous, with later berries...
There are many Cotoneasters, I've just named a popular hedging variety that it resembles....it's very hard to be precise at this stage and I make no claims at being an expert... but I'd be surprised if it wasn't of that species...
Thankyou very much. I haven't found anything else that matches it as closely as a cotoneaster. I think that is case closed.
Or possibly a Viburnum
