Mine are as well, maybe they have more sun down there.
I had petunias in hanging baskets which looked awful all summer, neglected them as we had scaffolding around the house. I'm sure more air gets in and dries them out quicker than pots. But I also had 2 pots in the front that were neglected too they had Lobelia and bizzie lizzies in and are still going now thanks to a little bit of care the last week but I live in Wales and we get a lot of Sun..........
I know I might be in a minority. But I hate hanging baskets.
For every good one you see , there are millions of hideous ,dried out specimens which should have been in the compost bins months ago.
Sorry.
whew
Don't be sorry lol I'm not a fan either just thought bugger it as I had 2 which I bought last year to try as it was my first yr of proper gardening, found out then not to bother. However I was fancing trying winter baskets see if they were any different!
oh don't even think of " winter baskets" they're even more hideous.
Everyone just thinks"it's gonna rain so I don't have to worry about watering them".
Hahaha ahh you read my mind...
don't even start me on those hideous cabbage things that folk plant in winter
an dyed heathers.
PASS ME THE NAPALM
I haven't seen a winter cabbage yet as much as I'd like to but your right with the heathers, my neighbour had them last year in all different neon shades, swear she fed them lsd!
linny and I thought it was only me who had good taste. whew
