In a gardening magazine there was a feature about fixing broken pots. They drilled little holes so that it could be sewn back together but I don't remember with what or if they used a glue as well. I don't know if it would work so well with a broken rim as with a more vertical break.I could search through my pile of magazines for the article and find out the details if you think it's worth a try?

'Sticks like sh.t' has stuck a lump of cement back on to some steps here and is still there a year later

I've just fixed one of mine with sealant and so far so good.
