Strange water type droplets

hello I have come across a strange thing I cut back an old grapevine a few days ago, this morning I noticed it was dropping what looks like water from a cut back branch its doing so about every 5 to 10 seconds and doing so for the last 12 hours it can't be a burst pipe because the area would be flooding, so what's causing it

The sap is rising and it's coming out of the top.

cheers, I just didn't think it would be that much liquid and last this long
Unfortunately Spring is the wrong time of year to prune vines. They can bleed to death from sap loss when pruned at this time of year.
Some things, a field maple I remember particularly, dripped for weeks.
