My leaves are going bad and dropping off what is the cause and will it effect the flowers. I have 5 plants in the bathroom which appear to like the conditions except for this problem.

Orchids don't like getting their leaves wet or standing in water. When watering be careful not to get water on the leaves especially in the very centre of the plant. They don't like being in direct sun light either. Hopefully the orchids will grow new leaves. if you still have flowers on the plant it does sound hopeful.
I went to an Orchid Show and the man there said you need to repot your orchids every year or so because the bark chippings disintegrate and get rather acid. He recommended using a mix of 1 part Perlite, 1 part charcoal and 5 parts orchid bark chippings.
I do agree with Star Gaze Lily about not watering too much, maybe every 10 to 14 days and using rain water only. Also keep in an East or West facing window.
