Name that plant!!

We have recently moved into a new house and I discovered some old disused beds and a granite wall in a mad frenzy of gardening today.  I came accross something that looks shrub like and was loathed to give it the hedge trimmer treatment.  I have searched the internet this evening but have had no joy in identifying this mystery plant - if anyone can help me I would be very grateful imageimageimage

    Hi garden girl, it looks similar but the leaves on my plant are rounded
