In the summer it grows one or two bright red flowers which look similar to a dandelion flower in shape and size.
It's another of the plants that I inherited from a neighbour when she bought a flat without a garden.

It looks like a Gerbera, some are hardier than others.
I would say that it is a gerbera too.I have one which is kept indoors but there are some that are supposed to be hardy.Unfortunately mine didn't survive and they cost a fair amount too.
They are lovely flowers and one of my favourites with all the lovely colours.
