Hi CLER - they are quite big plants- might be happier in the ground. This might be why they are not producing flowers. Are they making lots of leaves and new shoots ?
Thnks Chicky, yes they are making lots of leaves and shoots and look generally healthy. the sun is actually shining this morning here in Bristol, how about where you are?
CLER I think magnolias can take a little while to flower so if you've only had them a couple of years that may be the reason. As long as they're in a suitable size of pot, are healthy and have the appropriate food and water, they should be fine. I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will be able to offer other advice though!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
