Blocking a wall

Need some help blocking a cement wall nothing seems to attach to it and it goes onto a patio 

thought of a hedge and needs to be 6ft tall by 8ft wide thought about potted plants cant seem to find right thing need some help thanks

    ..6 foot tall by 8 foot wide... Ceanothus 'Concha' is probably the plant you want... easily available at most plant centres... fast growing, evergreen, mass of deep blue flowers coming out shortly....  perhaps you have room for two...

    the problem is nothing will attach to the concrete wall cant fix a wire need something that is free standing in front of the wall

    Cotoneaster horizontalis is a free standing shrub that will happily lean on and grow on a wall.  Lovely red berries too

    You could also look at chaenomeles. Early flowers - white, or, red or pink - and can be trained (pruned) to go against a wall.

    You could put up posts in front of the wall and attach a trellis.

    Which way does it face?  And you say the wall joins straight onto a patio?  Is there much of an area to plant in?  Can you post a picture to help us please image

    Thanks will look at the plants suggested cant put posts up in front will break the patio if can find a picture will do
