A weed or something nice?

Found this growing in the flower bed today.  Any idea what it is?

Is it a weed or a keeper?

Anemone blanda, something nice. It's easy and seeds around so some probably call it a weed

Adore this little blue anemone, it does spread around, delightfully - disppears compleletely when it has done it's thing, I allow it everywhere - up to you whether you do or not of course, but I think it is a joy and a delight.

what do you mean dissapears completely?  The leaves too?  Like a daffy?

Just like that Bagz. and those little corms can get thrown out with the weeds so remember where it is.

A good semi invisible way to market is with a black plant label - I do this round clumps of spring flowering bulbs as a reminder, the black is very unobtrusive.

I do love these little anemones!

I planted lots of these bulbs the autumn before last & hardly any of them re-appeared. A lot of our bulbs were eaten by something.

They're lovely though, so hopefully the remaining ones may multiply.

The shops that sell these in the autumn are selling old dry  bulbs...which never do very well.

Treat yourself to a pot in flower, from a garden centre in the spring.

They will seed around and spread.

A gorgeous plant for any garden in the spring.

..I like the blue and the white... I find the white ones show up better in shade... as they would..image
