Does anyone know where I can buy the red flowered trilliums, at the flowering stage? Carol Klein did a talk on them on Gardeners World on the 26th April '13... (I live in the Manchester area...)
Here, but you'll have to go and fetch them http://www.edrom-nurseries.co.uk/shop/pc/Trillium-chloropetalum-giganteum-165p7769.htm
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
They grow wild here in Scarborough Ont.if you can find them.
I trust that in Scarborough Ontario it is the same as UK... ILLEGAL to dig any wild flower up from the wild.
A good guide to plant conservation world wide is...

Long Acre Plants in Wiltshire sell Trilliums.
Also many other shade loving specialities.
They do mail order.
All plants are grown on the nursery, they are strong healthy plants.
They grow all Trilliums from seed .
From seed to flowering takes years, so no Trillium is ever cheap.
Van Meuwen are selling them currently....
Thanks everyone for responding.
