Smelly mud patch

Hi anyone got any ideas?! Just wondering what the problem is I have a smelly patch of bubbly mud that keeps rising as if something is fermenting! There is a cut off root end beneath the mud piI which is why I am presuming is the problem!!! Any idea how I can sort this out?! And what the cause is?

Thanks

  • Unlikely-dont want to be alarmist-but there could be a fractured pipe under there-water or gas-would get it checked out-bubbling is not a good sign-might be nothing but to be on the safe side??image

I'd want to know what was in there Lozza. Has it always been wet for a start? If it hasn't then have a look at your water main and drains. Maybe even if it's always been wet unless you know where the water comes from.

What does it smell of? if it's gas I'd  get a 'proper man' in.

Yes, check where the gas mains runs
