i measured 4 spoons of gro something plant food into 5 litres of water into a watering can x 2,and watered on to mmy lawn,20 metres x 10,please tell me this wont do it any harm.

No, I think your lawn will be happy, but there is special fertiliser for lawns. I don't think 4 spoons will be enough.
