Has my achillea 'forncett fletton' died?
Hello, a begginer gardener here hoping for some advice
I bought this achillea last year and not knowing what i was doing just popped it into the ground and hoped for the best - it flowered beautifully but now in late spring this year i appear to have no new growth atall? its just the dead dried out flower stems - ive looked around on the internet and people seem to be mentioning seeds but there went any i found? ( maybe the birds ate them) Has it just rotted away in the winter and its done for?
Thankyou!

It might have rotted, there's growth to see on all mine that have survived but some of them haven't. It won't have liked all that wet followed by cold and wet, followed by more cold

Thanks Verdum - im just so new to this and the herbs i have are growing - i know very little about flowers, so achillea are just one of those plants that look dead for a while then? i will just leave the roots where they are if thats the case.
Oh no Nutcutlet ;( my soil is a little boggy to say the least but i planted it in a sunny spot. There is literally no green just the dead stalks and flower heads which i chopped down today - so does it sprout from the old stems or come up from the ground?
Hopefully Verdun is right and it will be back. Don't give up hope yet.
