turfted heather in lawn

Hi can anyone help please, ihave turfted heather in my lawn, last year i cut out a section and replaced with turf it has returned again and is popping up all over my lawn, i have also tried 4 in 1 as well

What is tufted heather? I googled and got carpets.

Do you mean Tufted hairgrass?
it looks like a low growing heather but does not flower what do u think it could be ?
it's not tufted hairgrass i just googled that.
