Passion Flower - white lightning

Hi all.

As yet my passion flkower hasn't come into any kind of bud yet, it's not dead though as stems are green.

My question is should I prune it, and if so how should I?

I decided to cut it back (side shoots etc) and it was just my luck that as I had nearly trimmed it all I found a few new shoots.
