Where are we ordering our summer bulbs from?

Where are we ordering our bulbs from for next year?

I've used various online suppliers over the years for tulips, daffs & alliums, and I'm yet to settle for any one single supplier. Anywhere online doing any good deals?

J.Parkers, always have used them and some good sale stuff too.

  • I'm thinking eBay for some tulips

Strange thing to do Jo, you can always get the previous offer which were crocus. I don't want those alliums they are offering now.

I like GeeTee, the only disappointment has been the freeby Jetfires, some were soft and mouldy

Jo: All of my crocus bulbs were mouldy when they arrived (didn't get a response to my email regarding quality control either but since most of them grew I wasn't too bothered).

I am ordering for the first time from Peter Nyssen. Heard good reports.

  • If I order any it will be from Sarah Raven or it will be when Taylors Bulbs have their charity open day and all will be half price (it won't be online, you have to go there)

Gardenmaiden, have you got a date for the Taylor's bulbs sale? I think I've dropped off the emailing listimage Heard nothing last year

Why not take the free bulbs and give them to someone? Or plant them in pots? Or practice a bit of Urban Gardening and plant them in a park?
  • I ordered 150 bulbs from gee tee at the weekend on the back of some good reports I heard! Almost all off them are alliums, so come May/June next year my garden should look like a bit mad with all those balls floating about!
