Poison ivy everywhere
I recently moved into a new home with very nicely landscaped yard and gardens, lots of exotic, mature plants. However, I've realized that there is poison ivy everywhere. In the beds, growing up every tree, the house, in the yard... I'm very allergic to the stuff and can hardly step outside... Beyond wondering HOW the previous owner could have created such a beautiful garden and let the stuff spread everywhere, HOW can I get rid of it without a) killing the other plants, and b) several trips to the dr for steroids?

Have you not a US forum to ask this question on? I don't think we have it in the UK.
Can you not get a member of your family or friend that's not allergic to it to spray it with weedkiller? In the UK you can get weedkilling gel that you dab onto the leaves, if you have something like that in the US, that's what I'd do. Other than that, it would be take the steroids and get on with it - or if you can afford it, pay a professional to get rid of it.
We don't get poision Ivy in the UK, so I don't think you'll get a definitive answer here.
