Planting under bamboo

Hello,
I have a larger border planted with Phyllostacys as hedging but there is space underneath for ground cover/flowering plants if possible. Does anyone have any ideas for dry tolerance planting?
thanks

..I assume there is a little sun to be had for these plants.. that it's not totally in shade..?
Brunnera 'Jack Frost', lovely blue flowers now appearing and nice foliage to go with it.. although the ordinary Brunnera is nice too.
Geranium endressii, pink flowers, seeds a bit, but it's such a good do-er.. it's capable of putting up with a lot.. summer flowering - long season...
Pulmonaria's, I especially like one called 'Opal'.... but there are lots... Spring flowering, quite nice foliage, usually spotted.. Not everyone likes them though.
Epimediums are another suitable choice, even in shade... Spring flowering, good foliage...
might be trial and error with these, or others, to see which works best for you...
