I got a sackful of seeds from a website greenmanure.co.uk, winter tares, does it look like that? It covered a bank for me, but i didnt really use it with other plants, it would smother them.  Would work in a wild area i think.

Common vetch is an annual, it seeds itself in the grass in my meadow. I think it's a lovely plant. It's not really self supporting and goes well with anything that holds it up.

What I know as tares is a smaller, lighter coloured plant.
