Peppers

I have tried growing belll peppers for a couple of years now but always end up with lovely peppers with holes in.  Please can anyone tell me the cause of this and what I can do to avoid this happening next year.

Me too Lyn and I thought it was slugs nibbling but Zoomer44 told me

"herbaceoous - it may not be slugs and snails causing the damage to your peppers, have you seen them in your GH.  I thought they were nibbling on my toms, but was informed by 'experts' at the Southport Flower Show, it was the caterpillar of a moth which eats the fruit and not the leaves."

You will find the comments on the thread called slugs knippimg. I haven't seen any caterpillars yet but I am looking diligently, meanwhile I am still dispatching slugs with no conscience at all!

Have you got a picture? I will post one later when I can get my camera out.

A picture of mine. Pretty sure its slugs as there is a bit of silver trail on the big pepper! Looking at the recent posts it seems aubergines are fair game as well!

Slugs, insects or blossom end rot.

Just paid my last visit to GH tonight, nabbed far too many slugs and a snail and now I'm seeing little white moths! Does it never end?
