I've not got an apple but I do have a pear - just tiny little leaf-type buds at the moment - just looked over the fence and next door's appletree - just the beginnings of leaf-type buds there too, nothing 'plumping up' like blossom buds yet. It has been very cold - I'm sure it'll happen

I am in West Oxford and my apple tree buds are just opening this weekend. Don't panic, mother nature knows when it is ready. Everything is going to be late. I just hope the wind and rain keep clear, as it had all my apple blossom off last year. Spring is most certainly here as I have dandelions in flower and the weeds are starting to grow!
Oh dear the March winds are here today and causing havoc lots of new growth just starting but cold wind frazzles it! No open buds on apple yet but still a bit cold in Lancs I think
Up in north east my red apple tree is already sprouting, however the cox is still looking rather dormant, I have done the scratch test and its still alive.
As for other trees my pear has openned and my morelo cherry is budding nicely. Dont worry its only just started warming up and it depends what variety you have and conditions you are in that determine when they'll burst into life!

small buds on apple tree, im in south manchester
You should see buds, even if not open yet. If you really cannot see any buds then you need to do the scratch test to check if it is still alive.

My apple and pear buds are now starting to open, but a few weeks more before I need to worry about protecting opening flowers from late frosts.
