I have a mop head hydrangia that is in the wrong place. When would be the best time to move it somewhere else in the garden?

If you take out the whole root ball, you can remove them anytime the soil is not frozen

Thanks for advice. I should be able to take out all of the root ball so will attempt it in the next week now that the soil is beginning to warm up.
