Sunflowers

Can I plant my sunflowers plants in the garden yet?  Or should I wait until we are unlikley to get any more frosts?  Thanks, Maggie

Sunflowers need a frost free environment but you could try putting a cut lemonade bottle over the top, spout uppermost to allow the air to circulate. I would leave it as long as you can however as the sunflowers will soon outgrow the cover, that is if they survive!

Thanks for your replies.   I had better keep them under cover for a few weeks then.  I will make sure they don't get frosted. Thanks, Maggie
