Flower in Africa

The local vicar has gone to Africa and he sends these pictures to us...is there anyone that can tell him what they are called please? regards Laurieimage

    The first one looks like a member of the arum family.  The second one looks like a hibiscus.

    Both are commonly available as houseplants in the UK.

    2nd. one is definitely a Hibiscus, they grow all over the tropics. I have often seen them in the Caribbean.
