Tomato seeds - 2 days in water ? Cut tomato in half and rub one half on a paper towel. Leave seeds to dry.

    No need to fuss over tomato seeds. They are very tough. Throw a few tomatoes on the compost heap in the autumn and even after frosts some seeds will often germinate in late spring.

    You are right tho...........self seeded toms quite often produce better flavoured fruit than those we coddleimage

    I don't put any tomato waste in my compost bin for that reason, they spring up next year all over the garden.

    the best mini tomatoes I had one year were from a bought tomato, seeds straight out and sown, came out exactly like the parent.
