Cara Seed potatoes

I have just found one of my 5 kg bags os seed potatoes ( stored in my garage)contained 3 rotten seeds that have caused the rest of the seeds to begin chitting with white shoots up to 4 centimeters in length. I dont want to plant out until the first week in May ( going on holiday this weekend) Can I remove these white shoots and begin rechitting which I normally do by bring the seeds into my outhouse?
