problematic cordyline

i bought a red star cordyline, which is in a pot at my front door so it gets full sun! 

i noticed its turned completely green, the tips of the leave have damaged by the wind and temperature,  can the weather change the colour too?

    They certainly have a better red colour I'm strong sunlight. Is it in the shade?

    well i bought one too,will keep an eye on it i dident know they done that.
