spirea variety

Hello folks

Can anyone help me with the proper name of the Spirea shrub which, I believe,  is generally called 'wedding bouquet' (or something like that)?  It flowers with long, arching white flowers in the spring.  Many thanks for replies

Spirea arguta 'bridal wreath' is the usual one nikki.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I have two of them in, what I laughingly call, my 'white border'. I love them. They're particularly good if given plenty of room to do their thing.

I also have an Exorchoda The Bride which is beautiful and is one of the first to flower in the Spring image

I have that here too Verd. It's a useful evergreen but I much prefer the arguta. They have a lovely shape.

I'd like the Exochorda, but I've really nowhere to put it other than the front and I'm not prepared to spend any more on that part of the garden!

Thank you all very much for your replies.   Spirea  'Bridal Wreath it is then.  (So much for my 'wedding bouquet'  thoughts)!   Well, now I know what to look for at the garden centre.  Thanks again

It's a lovely shrub nikki. Hope you enjoy it.

You were pretty close with wedding bouquet - I'm sure the growers will bring that out in due course! image
