shallot harvest

The foliage is all laid down, mostly brown but some green remaining. The weather for the rest of the week is decidedly monsoon-like, and I won't be around to harvest next week. The only space I have for drying/storage is in the house. What would you do?

I wouldn't leave them outside do you have a garage or shed but you could bring them in the house if it's cool somewhereimage

Have 'em up and dry them somewhere.

  • There were mice in the garage at one point and we don't want them back! I tend to use the pantry which is a little better. Thanks, I'll bring them in when I can.
  • Good advice, I've brushed the slugs off and will try and remove the mud when it's dried
