kiwi roots

Hi there,
I wonder if anyone can clarify for me. My neighbour has planted a kiwi 2 meters away from my house and right on the boundery of my property. I have now found roots have come through the meter thick walls and are covering a 6m2 area of the cellar floor. He has had a specialist tell him that it is not kiwi roots. ????

Is it the neighbour that tells you it is a kiwi? Maybe he is telling porkies!
