Hedge plant for shade!
Hi all, youve probably had this question a million and one times but can you reccomend a hedging plant that will survive under decideous trees? Prefferably evergreen and it doesnt have to be flowering if thats any help. I was thinking Laurel? I want it to add some privacy from the road overlooking my garden

Holly can cope with shade and woodland conditions.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
We have holly thriving in shade - under oak and beech trees. It makes a pretty dense hedge (but not one you would want to fall into too often!)
