I found this whilst doing a bit of weeding, its about 3 inches long, enormous! Any idea what it is?

    Useful too - they feed on willowherb! I had a moth earlier this year that I rescued from  spider web in the greenhouse, a lovely creature.

    It would take a squadron of them to eat the acres of willow herb just outside our garden, but I can't claim to have seen one of themimage.  They are beauties thoughimage

    I see the moths, my pic was one from a moth trap.

    Never seen a caterpillar thoughimage
