I have a problem with my Grass dying

Can anyone help me -

This year my grass seems to be dying off and I have these weird little like seed balls on the ground in its place?

Can we have some photos please Tracey?  Click on the green tree icon to upload photos ... afraid it doesn't work from iPhones ... yet ...

They are just seed heads from a weed. Give it a good rake to get rid of the dry grass and thatch then treat with a Autumn feed. You may need to rough up the surface and plant some Autumn seed on the dead patches.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • My thanks Lyn, I will give that a go. We set the lawn about 15 years ago and this is the first year this has happened.

I think it's just hungry and will recover quickly.

Does it get a lot of traffic Tracey - dogs, children etc? That causes lots of bare, worn areas. I'd agree that it just looks as if it needs a little tlc image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
