Help just had some really expensive lillium bulbs arrive and do not know wether I dare put them in the garden in this weather.

    Get them planted-honestly they are no good in the packet-they will be fine

    There is nothing unusual about this weather at this time of year-do not believe all you readimage

    Or you could start them off in pots if the ground's frozen, and plant them out later on. Whichever way you do it, they need to be out of their bags.

    I grow all my lilies in large pots and keep them in the greenhouse during the winter. This year as it has been so cold they are just starting to show through. Keep them moist but not too wet at the moment. Definitely plant them now with a little bone meal and you should have a good show in summer.
