Rabbit proofing - chicken wire - hole appeared!

Found a hole in my chicken wire today - well the dog found it actually.  I cant belive a rabbit was motivated enough to create a hole.  i cant think what would do this, any ideas?

It all depends on whether it looked like it was worth the effort. If there was something tasty on the other side of the wire, why not chew through it? Or it could be that you have cut off a rabbit from its customary range of territory.

Surely a rabbit would rather dig under chicken wire than chew through it?

Maybe it had a sore foot.

Have you never seen "The Curse of the Wererabbit"!  It's a documentary made to look like an animation so as not to terrify the population.

Usually a rabbits foot is very lucky but its teeth are bucked.

All that wire. You'd think it would have a smile like a Hollywood starlet.

Its new(ish) gardens, so not much on either side. So...only culprit could be a very motivated or confused rabbit?

Unless you have seen a very small Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and James Coburn jumping over a miniature gymnasium horse in your flowerbeds.image

Nope, none of the above.  How odd, i had heard they can dig under a wire fence, but not bite through it.
