MIne flower any time they feel like it Catherine!  Out of the 4 I have, at least one always has a few flowers but heaviest flowering is usually sometime between late summer and mid spring.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Mine's got a few blooms on now and it does the same most years - but it has most on over the winter.

I've also got some primroses blooming at the moment image

    Hi image

I'm not an acer grower, but from what I do know I think it probably needs more shade than it's getting - someone with more acer-specific knowledge will come along soon I'm sure.

However, it may be better to start a new thread with acer in the title - that way you'll grab their attention image

Hi thank you for that catherine

  • as Dove says. Lack of water causes the leaves to look scorched.  Likely to need more shade. I've got one in far too much sun becauses the screening plants are yet to grow ( it's behind a pergola ) and it too looks scorched. But it's surviving fine.
