Downy Mildew on onions

I think we've overlooked our onions this year and after cool and wet weather our onions caught the downy mildew. Question is what to do now? Lift them now or go for heavy spraying with fungicides (even don't know if any is available in garden centersimage)????

Photo below. Suggestions please!!!

I lifted mine a couple of weeks ago and they have all dried out nicely, I'd lift them.

I would lift them, pull off the diseased leaves and let the onions dry off.

Luba you don't want to eating something that has been sprayed with chemicalsimage

Yes, I think better to lift them. Can we eat them after drying them off? Will they store?

Hi for the second year Ina row my onions have been hit however once lifted and dried have stored well.

any onions unfit for storage are chopped and frozen without blanching and used in soups, stews and any other meals onions needed for when chopped.

i also at the end of season do this with my leeks and always have plenty at hand when the shops raise their prices
