My Cherry tree is 18 years old and never been pruned. It's leaves are turning Yellow and dropping. There are other cherry trees in the area doing the same. Any idea as to what is happening? Thank you.
They are probably thirsty - and it is not so soon for leaves under pressure to think about dropping to preserve their strength for next year. Leave well alone (sorry for the awful pun!)
Autumn's coming a bit early - it's been quite a dry year so as Bookertoo says, the trees have produced their fruit, they've nothing more to do until next spring so they're saving their strength.
