I have 6sunflowers growing well. Not giant as stated on my seed packet but flowering regardless. Something is chopping the leaves which are nearly bare. Put slug pellets down. Think it may be catterpillers but can't find any.

Could be the sunflower beetle as they enjoy the leaves.  If you have grasshoppers around, they munch them as well.
