Videos - no subtitles.
I've gardened in hilly Welsh areas for a long time but now have a coastal garden so need to learn anew. I've gradually lost my hearing over 20+ years and would really like to know what Monty Don is saying in the videos. I'm very surprised that the BBC has ignored deaf gardeners - it seems a very old-fashioned thing to do.

The BBC ignores gardeners and their opinions full stop, so it's no surprise they ignore the deaf or partially sighted.
Hi Ann, it does seem a very basic oversight not to at least have a subtitle option. Hopefully admin will see your post and take action. In the meantime I hope your gardening provides adequate compensation, its a wonderful hobby isn't it.
If your complaint is about the videos on this site, then it may be an idea to post the probem on this thread.

But if it's about the video clips with Monty Don on the BBC Gardeners' World pages it has nothing to do with this site.

I did see an e-mail address on that page though where you can get in touch with the Gardeners'World team at the BBC.
I'd give it a try, if I were you, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I've alerted Katie to your problem. She's currently helping to plan an upgrade of this site
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Subtitles would be fantastic.
Hello everyone,
I'll check in with the guys on video about this and see what the situation is.
Thanks,
Katie
Bet you wish you hadn't joined the team now Katie
Haha - no, it's really enjoyable. There's a lot of things to fix though
could you mention it to the people over at the BBC news website as those don't have subtitles either!
Hello treehugger80 - I wish I had a contact at the BBC news website, but unfortunately they're a separate company from us
