Green eggs, no ham

Anyone any idea what these tiny green eggs come from? I've found loads, some smaller when repotting some plants this afternoon. I'm wondering if they are spider eggs?

    I think it's some sort of fungus.image

    I can live with that. The new compost is less water retentive and I've moved the pots to a less sheltered area. Thank you.
