Oh, no it doesn't work for iPhones - can you upload the pics to a photo-hosting site and post the link?  Or have you access to a tablet or laptop or ............... almost anything but an iPhone? image

The site is undergoing some changes and they're going to make it much more compatible with phones etc, but that doesn't help you and your lawn today ... sorry image

It looks like dead moss, presumably from using the weedkiller. If it is, rake it all out and resow with grass seed if necessary.

Yep, dead moss killed by the lawn treatment - get a lawn rake either something like this http://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb428gdo-32cm-1300w-lawn-scarifier-230v-230v/48162

then when you've removed the dead moss (and any dead grass = thatch) get some lawn seed, wait for a time in September when there is rain forecast and sprinkle the lawn seed all over your lawn.  The combination of warm soil and warm September rain will get the grass seed germinating quickly and within a couple of weeks you'll have a lovely green lawn again image

In future rake/scarify/aerate every autumn and spring - you'll be so honed and toned your OH won't recognise you ..... and the lawn will look pretty good too image

  • As this keeps coming back I have been told it could be roots from the conifers if it is partly due to that is there anything that can be done about that as well.
