Fencing for raised beds

Yes I am posting like its going out of fashion but while its cold and miserable the mind just keeps ticking over with projects. I'm looking to put raised veg beds at the front if my house. In thinking about fencing or willow hurdles or 'something' instant for screening. Does anyone have experience of this? How long does it last? Does it fade, flop, rot?? Any better suggestions? Has a one else put this around raised beds to shield/hide the veg at the front??

I had a willow hurdle one before, however, I got rid of it just last year after having it for 3, as it started to go brittle and snap. They do look nice for the first couple of years though image

  • Thinking I could softern fencing with planting but need to make sure I get the right fencing! So much choice!

I know tell me about it! One downside to fencing is that it will need treating every few years unless you buy the really high quality stuff.

  • Do you want to screen them for the benefit of passers-by or for yourself?

  • Passers by, break the wind. Neighbours cats and dogs, thanks
