I bought an amyrrilis before Christmas; potted it up, kept it in my living room but nohing happened. Put it in my kitchen and about 5 large leaves grew. In the last couple of days a bud is startng to form. What I need to know is can I cut the leaves down or are they needed to feed the bulb.
