Rhododendron. Are there flower buds on it? Don't think that will come big as there are some dwarf varieties. That will need a top dressing of ericaceous compost now.
Variety again will ahve to wait till you have flowers.
Don't prune the rhododendron. When it has finished flowering you can pick the dead flowers off very carefully to tidy it up. It will be making new shoots under them for next year. Don't water with alkali water, rain water is best.

There are flower buds on it, you dont need to prune this at all.
