Hi everyone, could you please identify this plant? it is being advertised as Thuja Occidentalis Smaragd emerald. It doesn't look as bushy as some I've seen so wanted to check before I purchase any, Thanks for any help image

Difficult to say Lori. There are so many conifers and many of them look very similar. Growing conditions can affect how they look, but they will tend to look a bit leaner when they're in pots. Once they;re growing in the ground they'll change image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Thanks for the reply Fairygirl.

Yes true, maybe because they're still so young. I thought it looked a little more like the Pyramidalis. I don't want to buy any monsters and regret it when they're huge

    Thanks again image

Look a bit like golden lawsoniana.

  • Thanks Ceres. I hope to find out what they are soon. I can't wait to start planting something image

Looks right to me. Smaragd is an upright form,

Stick the name in google image and you'll see.

    Devon.
  • Thanks Hostafan1. I do love the emerald greens so fingers crossed they are image
